This weekend sees one of the biggest sporting events hit TV screens around the world, and car makers are clambering over themselves to get some seriously expensive Super Bowl screen time with some pretty cool adverts.

With a 30-second slot reportedly costing around $5 million, advertisers still think that’s value for money as upwards of 114 million people watch the Super Bowl in the US. Last year, there was a worldwide audience of close to 160 million.

So whether it’s girls in a Hyundai swooning over a world filled with Ryan Reynolds or Christopher Walken and his colourful sock puppet convincing us to buy a Kia, all eyes will be on these creative clips when the Carolina Panthers go head to head with the Denver Broncos on Sunday night.

Go Panthers!
