Sixteen teams and 160 players attended the AvailableCar six-a-side Charity Football Tournament on 25th May and raised a terrific £3,500 for our chosen charity, Rainbows Children’s Hospice.

Teams were formed by AvailableCar Staff (four teams), suppliers of AvailableCar, Twitter teams and family and friends of AvailableCar – and around 300 attended to watch the broad range of skills and sizes on display.

Derby County Football Club very generously donated time at their Pride Park Stadium, and the tournament was played on their superb pitch under floodlights from 6.30pm to 10.30pm.

The pitch was divided into four smaller pitches and the tournament had group stages, quarter finals, semi-finals and a final where FC Guide Dogs ran out eventual winners.

At the end of the night, a raffle was held and overall we managed to raise a staggering £3,500 for Rainbows.

We at AvailableCar would like to sincerely thank all those who made this tournament possible – Derby County FC, all the players and supporters, and all those who donated to this very worthwhile cause. Well done and thank you!
